I’ve always been fascinated to explore where our creativity comes from.

When we listen to big artists talk about creating a masterpiece, often it seems like this creation is surrounded by a certain mystery.

From great painters and photographers to song writers, a lot of people have spoken about the moment of creation and how in a way it was not ‘them’ creating that piece of Art.

I’ve always loved the idea that no matter how much you learn, in order for something truly special to happen you have to dare to let go of that knowing.

As though we need to step out of the way, in order to find our way.

Residence in Artist explores where art originates from, turning around the idea that we need to go somewhere in order to find ourselves and our creativity.

And building on the knowledge that this place of connection and art is always here and available.

Even though I’m a student myself in this process, I feel the time is here to create more awareness.

Not only in finding our own unique voice as an artist, but also to find ways of nurturing that in a world that isn’t always wired for this space to exist.

Let’s remind each other that anything is possible.

And let’s find ways that this knowledge becomes more engrained in our lives.

Taking us places we did not know existed.
