The workshop, a profound place for possibility to exist

This morning I listened to a podcast from Rick Rubin in conversation with Joe Dispenza.
One sentence from Joe Dispenza stayed with me;

"When people put a lot of attention on opening their awareness to nothing.

And they’re aware of nothing but themselves.
Then that ‘workshop', that place, is such a profound place for possibility to exist."

It really captures the essence of Residence In Artist, a project I’ve been working on this past year in such a good way.

Ive always been fascinated in exploring where our creativity comes from.
When we listen to big Artists talk about creating a master piece, often it seems like this creation is surrounded by a certain mystery.
From great painters, photographers to song writers, a lot of people have spoken about the moment of creating and how in a way it was not ‘them’ creating that piece of Art.

I’ve always loved the idea that no matter how much you learn, in order for something truly special to happen you have to dare to let go of that knowing.
As though we need to step out of the way, in order to find our way.

Residence in Artist explores where Art originates from, turning around the idea that we need to go somewhere in order to find ourselves and our creativity.
And building on the knowledge that this place of connection and Art is always here and available.

"The workshop, a profound place for possibility to exist”.

Even though I’m a student myself in this proces, I feel the time is here to create more awareness.
Not only in finding our own unique voices as Artists, but also to find ways of nurturing that in a world that isn’t always wired in a way where this space can exist.

Let’s Remind each other that Anything is Possible.

And let’s find ways that this knowledge becomes more engrained in our lives.
Taking us places we did not know existed.
